Jessica Robertson Wright
Managing Editor, Capital Commentary
Jessica joined the Center for Public Justice in 2013 as the managing editor of Capital Commentary. Born to missionary parents and raised in Amman, Jordan, she attended a local Jordanian school throughout her childhood. She received her B.A. from Princeton University in Art History and Near Eastern studies.
She then spent five years in the San Francisco Bay Area working in ministry, youth development, and educational counseling before moving to the Washington, D.C. area. There, she taught Arabic at the USDA Graduate School and was the Assistant Director and Cultural Coordinator for the Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development.
In 2008, she became an EFM (essential family member) to her diplomat husband and has since lived in several locations in the Middle East with their two children. In her capacity as a freelance editor, Jessica has consulted as a writer and editor for several organizations, among them American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), Program for Theological Education by Extension (PTEE), the US Consulate General in Alexandria, Egypt, and Georgetown University Press.
