Conversations on America’s Future: October-November 2008

Jim Skillen, former president of the Center for Public Justice, continued his "Conversations on America's Future" in St. Louis; Chicago; Beaver/Beaver Falls, PA; and Ithaca, NY. The schedule was as follows:

St. Louis, MO (Oct. 3-4)—Skillen will gave the Francis A. Schaeffer Lectures and participate in discussions around the theme “Taking Citizenship Seriously” at Covenant Theological Seminary.

Chicago (Oct. 5.)—Skillen spoke in an afternoon/evening program at Grace Chicago, a church in the city, on Christian responsibility in the 2008 election.

Beaver and Beaver Falls, PA (Oct. 10-11)—Skillen spoke at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver and Geneva College in Beaver Falls, in a jointly sponsored fall forum on “God and Government.”

Ithaca, NY (Nov.1-2)—Cornell University's Chesterton House and New Life Presbyterian Church will host Skillen in a Saturday evening program (7 p.m.) and at Sunday morning services (9:30 a.m. service; post-service educational hour) to discuss civic responsibility and the November elections. See the Chesterton House event posting and an audio recording of the program.
