U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Regional Contacts:
The following list of officials within the Department of Housing and Urban Development may serve as a bridge between government and faith-based and community grassroots groups. It is difficult for outsiders to learn how government operates, who to go to for information, or how to get confusions and barriers cleared away. These liaisons may help educate the public about opportunities for collaboration with HUD. They help outsiders learn about the procurement process and procurement opportunities. They may provide help, or steer people to others who can provide help, with grant writing (applications for government funds or for foundation or corporate funding). They may organize conferences that promote networking, share information, and highlight good models of collaboration with a ministry or other service agency in a community.
