The Civitas Institute

The Center for Public Justice is pleased to announce The Civitas Institute, an evening experience for DC-based leaders, held in conjunction with our other Civitas summer programming.

The Civitas Institute will be held 6:30–9:30 p.m. Monday, July 5, through Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Dellenback Center, 321 8th St NE, Washington, DC 20002.

Dr. Stanley Carlson-Thies of the Institutional Religious Freedom Alliance will facilitate a seminar on "Maintaining Societal Space for Faith-full Organizations." What kind of public policy is required for faith-based organizations to remain faith-full? The class will consider political-philosophical, biblical, legal, and practical issues, including how professionalization can foster institutional secularization.

To register:
Cost of participation in all Civitas Institute activities is $250, which includes the cost of course texts. To register, please contact Stephanie Summers at stephanie@cpjustice.org or 202.669.6926. Course materials will be mailed upon receipt of registration payment.
