2006 Kuyper Lecture

Lecture: “Same-Sex Marriage and Public Policy: What Does Justice Require?” by Dr. Elaine Storkey, Senior Research Fellow, Wycliffe Hall, Oxford

October 21, 2006
Trinity Christian College
Palos Heights, IL

The context

While society is moving toward same-sex marriages, what should be the response of the Christian community? Denominations such as the Christian Reformed Church have for more than 30 years suggested that the Bible prohibits homosexual activity, but it commands the church to minister to those who are homosexual. So how then should we care for those who are gay and lesbian? Moreover, how should public policy be shaped in response?
